We have been learning about Fijian masi and the students had an opportunity to see and feel what a real big Samoan tapa cloth is like! Here is a picture of what Room 6 sharing the tapa cloth and feeling the beaten bark. We watched a video about masi cloth being made by beating the tree bark on the wooden drums. We have had a go at making our own designs, the finished product will be posted by the end of the week so keep an eye out.:)
